Synopsis (Danish)

It feels wrong that mothers can die. But they do - reflects Jon Bang Carlsen at the end of this film poem to his mother. The mother was always in motion, afraid of stagnation, of death, but remained in the little Danish village, while Jon Bang Carlsen fled the village riding the freight trains from the American East Coast to Los Angeles. But all the time mother and son wrote letters to each other. Despite the huge distances between them there was closeness. The mother is now dead. But her letters and thoughts are still here. And the son’s memories of her.
