Synopsis

Jon Bang Carlsen, auteur-tinged filmmaker of widely diverse fare, bowed as feature fiction film writer-director with this muted story of a kind of love affair between an ex-Army officer and a woman who is about to die in an old people's home. He brings a rosy hue to her cheeks by making her tell of her youth in the turnip fields of her one brief triumph as a circus queen.
