Synopsis

A film about a Danish/South African couple who lives outside Cape Town. A quarter of a century ago Trine met Allan, who fought in the ANC’s underground army, and decided to leave Denmark. About cultural differences increasing as time goes by, about Trine’s fear of the crime and violence in the divided South African society and Allan’s irritation at the lack of life in the affluent white suburb he now lives in after a childhood in a poor but vibrant township. About Denmark seen with South African eyes and South Africa seen with Danish eyes. And about two daughters’ love of their parents and their division between the two dramaticly different cultures their parents originates from.
